Commission on Transport in the North Underway
Posted: 31 January 2009 Filed under: Conservative Leave a comment »As we have reported, the Commission on Transport in the North has got underway with William Hague and Theresa Villiers in Leeds. After the launch, which you can watch below, William, Theresa and Commission Chairman Peter Mileham travelled through West Yorkshire by public transport.
William, Theresa and Peter were accompanied by representatives from Metro and Northern Rail on a train from Leeds to Bradford.
Theresa and Peter then went onto Brighouse by bus, accompanied by representatives from First Bus, to see the work on the town’s new bus station.
They then travelled back to Leeds by train to meet with representatives from Metro.
